This Model S was designed by American industrial designer and architect Walter Dorwin Teague. This was the first piano that Steinway commissioned Walter Teague to design.
Fantastic streamline Steinway Model S baby grand piano. This model was the most popular of two models that Teaque designed for Steinway in 1938. Every detail is an ode to streamline modern design. The finish is hand rubbed satin black lacquer. It is an excellent piano both inside and out.
This elegant art deco case was created for Steinway in the late 1930s by renowned industrial designer Walter Dorwin Teague. Only a small number of these unusual pianos were built and they are extremely rare today.
