Managing Director

Please accept this as a letter of recommendation for Michael Ierullo.
I have known Michael for 10 years, we employed his company a few times as a freelance tuner for our piano on sessions. We were so impressed with his abilities, professionalism, and dedication to the craft, we made him our exclusive piano technician.
He invests in every aspect of the job, customer service and punctuality, impressive knowledge of the instruments, patience, and discipline.
I can without reservation, recommend him and his company.

Steinway ‘L’

I bought my rebuilt Steinway “L” from Michael in December of 2016. Michael’s devotion to detail was most impressive. He devoted hours towards making my piano feel and sound exactly the way I wanted it to. And even though our transaction took place over the Christmas Holidays Michael made sure that my piano was delivered on time, as promised. After delivery Michael came over and spent several hours attending to the fine tuning of the instrument. If you’re looking for a rebuilt Steinway, he’s your man.

Steinway ‘B’

For many months, I’ve been on a voyage with Michael involving the restoration of a Steinway Model B. His craftsmanship is impeccable and his attention to every detail is impressive. Quite aside from a mastery the technical details of assembly he has shown an uncanny ability to bring out the full potential of the piano, recognizing the character of the instrument and the sensitivities of the player. That’s why I elected to buy a piano from him. In my view, service is always more important than the choice of an instrument. With The Piano Boutique, I was fortunate to enjoy a combination of both.

Steinway ‘O’

As a musical family that has lived and relocated globally, we only owned digital pianos until 2012 when we began searching earnestly for a restored grand piano that would meet our quality criteria. We chose not to consider new pianos because we were aware of the far superior craftsmanship, build and sound quality potential of pianos in the era of late 1800s to pre-World War 2. We faced the challenge of finding one in Toronto of the highest quality at an affordable price. Imagine our delight in finding the Piano Boutique with an excellent selection of restored Steinway, Bechstein, and other high end instruments. We are not only thrilled about the 1924 Steinway O we now own but also about the quality of service and professional integrity we have received. Thank you would be an understatement!

Steinway ‘A’

I purchased my Steinway A Art Case, from Michael in late 2015. I wasn’t quite sure of the legs and lyre, but they have grown on me. It is hard to believe that there were craftsmen to carry out the intricate carving on these pieces. I retired this year from the practice of law, and now each day I am able to enjoy this wonderful instrument. It is a truly a joy to sit down each day and play. Michael has expertly rebuilt the piano and has been maintaining it to his high standards. I cannot recommend Michael and The Piano Boutique enough.

Pleyel

We received a beautiful Playel Piano ten years ago, but when I originally looked to have it restored, we were told that it was not worth it so I left it and still enjoyed the piano.
When we moved, the piano came with us, but the process of moving destroyed the outer shell of the piano and I decided to look into having it restored again. In my search to find someone to restore my century old piano, I came across the Piano Boutique. Within 2 days, Michael came over to assess the piano for free. I was impressed with his obvious knowledge about the piano, and with his enthusiasm about the project. I felt that I could trust him, and opted to work with him. The project went very smoothly. He arranged for pick up the piano, and had the piano restored fully. The process took 8 weeks, and the results were worth it. We are enjoying the piano for its enhanced beauty and especially for its rich, beautiful sound. My 13 year old in particular is enjoying learning and playing it.
Our many thanks to The piano Boutique and Michael for the exemplary service. I have since recommended him to my colleagues and friends for tuning as well!
